The assessment, recognition and registration process will be a little different according to the State or Territory of Australia you intend to work in.
Assessment and registration bodies will require evidence of your qualifications, identity, any existing membership of a professional association, and current registration or licensing in your home country.
Fees will be required to be paid for the assessment and registration process. In some cases a condition of recognition or registration may require the Overseas Trained Allied Health Professional to be supervised for a specified period in accordance with a pre-approved supervision plan.
You should allow for the process of assessment, recognition and registration to take at least two months.
Practice in Australia may require you to arrange Australian Professional Indemnity Insurance.
We look forward to hearing from you.
