Being such a large continent we have climates ranging from Tropical to cool temperate. Australians and Canadians share the same fun loving, relaxed personalities and lifestyles. The move to Australia should be considered more of an enjoyable break from the Canadian freezing winters, where snow is an option not a certainty!

Recent changes to the Australian Medical Boards recognised qualifications make it even easier for those holding the following qualifications to transition across to the Australian Medical System;

  • Certificate in Family Medicine from College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and evidence of Canadian Qualifying Examinations part 1 and 2 post 1992.
  • Certificate in Family Practice from the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

For those not holding one of the above medical qualifications you can still work in Australia. If you have 5+ years of General Practice experience we are eager to hear from you also.

Work towards your internationally recognised Australian Fellowship in either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). Both Colleges offer a clear and concise curriculum for you to gain Fellowship.
