Never has there been a better time to make the move ‘Down Under’. Australia boasts something for everyone from the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, the vast interior and the truly picturesque big cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to name a few. With Australia recently listed in the top ten ‘liveable’ countries and a strong Australian dollar there is really nothing to hold you back from your working trip to Australia.

Being such a large continent we have climates ranging from Tropical to cool temperate. Our passions are similar to that of the UK. Whether it be Cricket, Rugby, Art and Opera or just a gateway to the splendour and adventure of the Indian and Pacific Ocean you will find many similarities to make both you and your family’s transition easy. After all your family must be considered and looked after along the way when finding the job that is right for you both professionally and personally.

Recent changes to the Australian Medical Boards recognised qualifications make it even easier for those holding the following qualifications to transition across to the Australian Medical System;

  • Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) holding the JCPTGP certify certificate or MRCGP holding Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) qualification,
  • Graduate of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) holding MICGP membership,
  • MRCGP or holders of the Joint Committee on Postgraduate Training for General Practice (JCPTGP) or holding Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) qualification.

For those not holding one of the above medical qualifications you can still work in Australia. If you have 5+ years of General Practice experience we are eager to hear from you also.

Work towards your internationally recognised Australian Fellowship in either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). Both Colleges offer a clear and concise curriculum for you to gain Fellowship.

At the moment we are also interested in doctors who work in the following specialist areas;

If your specialty is not listed above we also assist those holding additional postgraduate qualifications on a case by case scenario.

The experienced staff at Ochre Recruitment share 30+ years in the medical industry and will assist you with all your needs including but not limited to Immigration, Relocation, Medical Board paperwork, Orientation, Resources and much, more. You will not fault the level of professionalism offered by our wonderful staff.
