A locum opportunity has presented itself in Coonamble.

We are currently looking for a GP/VMO doctor to conduct 9 GP Sessions per week and conduct on-call at the hospital in a 1 in 2 roster.  Travel, Accommodation and car are all provided. $1000 per weekday, $1500 per weekend day and $2000 per public holiday. MUST work public holiday.

Coonamble is a country town of approximately 5000 people located 569km's north west of Sydney on the Castle River.  The nearest major town is Dubbo which is 160km's away.

Ochre Health runs a two doctor surgery in Coonamble.  The Surgery is located down the road from the hospital which has 33 beds - 19 acute, 2 respite and 12 long stay.  There is an Accident and Emergency Department with urgent cases being sent to Dubbo.

There are a number of hotels, clubs and restaurants in Coonamble.

Boggabri is a small and tranquil country town of about 1000 people 477km north west of Sydney with the nearest major town being Tamworth which is 115km's away.

Boggabri services the surrounding area which produces wheat, wool and cotton.  The town as a motel with a swimming pool, two pubs and a caravan park.

The health facility has a new Multi Purpose centre which consists of 7 high care beds and 9 low care beds in Nursing home type accommodation, 3 acute care beds and 1 palliative care room.  Accident and Emergency and Ambulance services are also on site.

Boggabri has a local Pony club, Golf course, Tennis club and Bowling club. 

Various Regional GWAHS area locations Warren, Gulgong, Condobolin, Cobar, Trangie, Coolah, and Parkes. All of these locations are beautiful in their own rights, friendly supportive staff. Travel and accommodation included.
