There are no time frame restrictions on obtaining access to provider numbers. It's a much simpler process here in New Zealand.
Am I eligible to work as a Doctor in New Zealand?
All graduates of UK and Irish medical schools are eligible to apply for registration in New Zealand. We place UK and Irish graduates at all levels from Junior Doctors and General Practitioners through to Consultants. If you are a member or fellow of a UK specialist college and hold the CCST or the CCT you are also eligible to work as a specialist in New Zealand.
There are no restrictions on Australian trained doctors working in New Zealand. In addition, if you possess a recognised specialist qualification or have worked a minimum 36 months out of the 48 months in the following countries you may also be eligible for registration in New Zealand:
