Ochre Recruitment attend a number of medical industry conferences throughout Australia. Conferences provide an opportunity for us to engage in person with doctors, healthcare providers and other industry stakeholders in a conversation about the services and opportunities we have to offer. An initial conversation with an Ochre consultant can lead to a tailored placement solution that is exactly the right fit for you, taking into consideration your circumstances, medical speciality or location preferences.

“Conferences provide an excellent forum for us to meet new doctors as well as catch up with many doctors and clients already partnering with Ochre.
Conferences are also an important way for Ochre Recruitment to remain engaged in the broader healthcare sector and informed about some of the important topics, issues and trends impacting doctors and the services they deliver.
We look forward to the conference season every year for the wonderful networking and learning opportunities it provides.
- Malcolm Reeve, Ochre Recruitment General Manager

With thirty-three medical centres across Australia, Ochre Recruitment’s sister company Ochre Health frequently co-exhibit with Ochre Recruitment. This allows us to conjointly offer the broadest possible range of work for our doctors, with everything from short-term locum placements right up to full-time permanent roles at one of Ochre Health’s medical centres.

Once again, this year Ochre Recruitment and Ochre Health are partnering together to co-exhibit at two of the major landmarks on the conference calendar, RMA18 and GP18. Run respectively by Australia’s General Practice colleges, the Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, these conferences are large scale events which bring together high volumes of medical practitioners to create a forum for discussing clinical trends, emerging research, issues of policy, standards of practice, and much more.

First up, we have GP18, to be held on the Gold Coast from the 11th- 13th October. The theme for this year is “General Practice: The Centre of Health in Australia”. With an estimated 1700 delegates, this year’s offering promises to provide a stimulating mix of professional development activities coupled with educational sessions on health equity, quality care, systems and data management and much more.

Next up is RMA18, running from the 25th – 27th October in Darwin. The RMA conference will run an engaging program designed to educate and inform rural health professionals, with an interesting variety of keynote speakers. There will also be a full complement of exhibitors - including Ochre Recruitment, whose strong connection with healthcare provision in rural communities has us supremely placed to play an integral role in placing GPs in remote locations in locations nation-wide.

Ochre Recruitment will also be attending a number of other conferences throughout the year, the next of which is the General Practice Conference and Exhibition. This travelling exhibition is one of Australia’s leading CPD events, with events held in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. This year, we will be attending the Melbourne event, held from the 16th – 18th of November at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Come along to booth 1604 to have a chat with our friendly GP recruitment team!

Ochre Recruitment will also be attending the annual conference of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) on the 18th – 22nd November at booth #7. This year’s event, their 35th Annual Scientific Meeting, will be held in Perth at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year’s theme – “On the Edge” - promises to deliver fresh content on a variety of different contemporary Emergency Medicine topics, including (but not limited to): Toxicology, Wilderness Medicine and the use of Ultrasound.

Conferences offer those who attend them opportunities to connect, to learn, to network and to be inspired. We hope to see you at the next medical conference you attend. Of course, Ochre Recruitment consultants can also be contacted directly at any time to discuss exciting permanent and locum opportunities across Australia.
