General Practitioner or GP Proceduralist - Parkes NSW

The Position
Working alongside a team of highly experienced GPs, you will work a minimum of 8 sessions in general practice each week and be paid under the RDA settlement package.
As the leading medical centre which has served the local community for over 50 years and provides the on-call rights to the new Parkes Hospital, the practice is also accredited to take registrars & offers extensive nursing & administrative support.

The Location
Parkes has a population of around 10,000. A rich variety of farming is conducted in the area, and the area boasts a warm temperate climate and fabulous parklands. This region has a rich cultural history, and a varied demographic - whilst it is in a large part supported by primary industries, mainly mining and agriculture, it also hosts the Parkes observatory, which has spurred the development of a strong local scientific community. It is also an eligible location for RLRP, RVTS, ROMPS and Rural Bonded Scheme, and is currently a DWS location.

Essential Criteria
* General or Specialist registration with AHPRA
* Desirable Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics
* Desirable Vocational Registration
* Desirable JCCA or equivalent

Service Overview
The practice has been in operation at the current premises for more then 50 yrs. The doctors provide primary healthcare for a wide range of medical problems including general practice consultations, minor surgery (skin cancers etc.), sports injuries, obstetric, WorkCover, diabetic, pre anaesthetic checks, pre employment medicals, counselling & mental health. The nursing team of five are available for immunisations, vaccinations, BP monitoring, INR monitoring, ECG's, health assessments & diabetes management, all supervised by the doctors.
