GP VMO for established busy Mixed Billing DWS Practice , Wheatbelt Region, VIC

Summary:
* RLRP & DWS (30% reduction) eligible
* Mixed billing
* 4-6 patients ph

The Position:
Unique opportunity for a GP looking for FT work in a thriving rural community. This practice has a long-standing and well-earned reputation with the residents and is attached to the local hospital so GPs hold VMO rights participating in ward rounds on a 1 in 3 rotating on call roster. A strong team of vocationally registered GPs who will provide ongoing support and who can help you grow professionally. Competitive percentage of mixed billings with extra payments for on call with a guaranteed initial income period.

The Practice:
Mixed billing AGPAL accredited. The clinic is fully computerised with Medical Director and has four receptionists, one enrolled nurse, a registered nurse and practice manager. Pathology services are coordinated daily and a visiting cardiologist attend the clinic along with a diabetic educator and asthma nurse. The local hospital has podiatrists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and visiting ENT surgeon who works closely with the clinic. Australian Cardiac Diagnostic delivers echo ultrasounds services monthly and Bendigo X-Ray works 5 days a week next to the clinic. Clinic also contributes care at the local Agecare units and they are also the Visiting Medical Officers working for Rural Northwest Health. Privately owned by a GP, Open 9-5:30 M-F.

The Location:
300 kms North West of Melbourne and located on a gorgeous Creek, this sleepy town provides a haven for numerous water birds and the majestic gums that line its banks. Attracting many varieties of native birds and animals to share this unique environment with the local residents. A walking track follows both sides of the creek providing a relaxing 4km stroll to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. For the outdoors sports enthusiasts the town houses football, cricket, tennis, netball and swimming. The Historical Centre displays a collection of all the items that make up the history of a typical Wimmera town as displayed in the homes of the pioneers of the era. Annual Y-Fest Easter festival showcases a street parade, buskers, art show, vintage rally, golf tournament, horse races, water skiing demonstrations and much more.
