Dates: 
• 21st or 28th Oct – 8th Nov 
• 23rd Dec – 3rd Jan 
• 6th – 31st July 2020 

Rate: $150 per hour + accommodation (two bedroom apartment), travel and car 

The Position 
Our client is looking for a Locum GP for the above mentioned dates. The doctor is supported by a registered nurse, onsite FT. They do have 2- 2nd year RN training nurses working on a casual basis while they study. In addition to this, they have a very full roster of Allied Health support from – 2 podiatrists, 2 physios, diabetes educator, dietitian, exercise physiologist, optometrist, Coast to Country hearing, psychologist, midwife, child health RN, wellness women’s clinic, domestic violence support and breakthrough for families. Uses Best Practice software. It is a 63 bed Aged Care facility, (45 current patients approx) which the doctor visits twice a week (Tue and Thu afternoons). 

The Location 
The practice is located in the Great Green Way region of North Queensland. It has a tropical climate and typical beautiful Queensland beaches, national parks, rain forest and waterfalls. 

This small town has a large heart, as is typical of many small towns around Australia. It is inbetween Townsville and Cairns and close to both Ingham and Innisfail. 

The Marina Public Boat Ramp provides year round access to the protected marine environments of Hinchinbrook Channel, Estuaries, Islands and Great Barrier Reef. The Cardwell Jetty is an important infrastructure asset, where visitors can socialise and view the coastal scenery; and Anglers can enjoy both day and evening fishing activities.
