Locum VR GP 

Dates: 11am Wed 2nd Oct to 2pm Fri 4th Oct (can be flexible with these if needed or interested) 

Rate: $120 per hour 

The Position 
Our client is seeking for a Locum VR GP to join them in a camp activity for the above mentioned dates. The doctor does routinely stay overnight at camp, but again this would not be necessary and we would negotiate the hours required to be in attendance at camp. You will be assisting approx 45 to 50 T1 adolescents in yrs 8 & 9 at school (so roughly 13 to 15yrs old). 

Your duties will be assisting/ confirming with their extremely experienced Credentialled Diabetes Educators any insulin adjustments or changes necessary during camp to ensure camper safety. Attending to any general medical needs of campers – sore ears, throats, wounds, site infections, bumps, cuts, bruises etc. or any other medical situations that may arise and need treating. Participating in activities if so desired or encouraging/ supporting campers in activities. 

Equipment: we would request you bring your own ’tools of the trade’, stethoscope, aurescope (diagnostic set) etc. if possible and a script pad.

Located in the heritage listed Grose River in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley, it has long been one of Sydney's premier outdoor education venues. It is a natural bush site, with cabins nestled in between the landscape and an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural features. 

Essential Criteria 
• FRACGP/ FACRRM + ALS 
• Unrestricted full registration with AHPRA
